Wild Explorers FAQ
What age is Wild Explorers designed for?
Wild Explorers is created with explorers aged 7–10 in mind, but older children can absolutely still enjoy the adventure — they may simply find some of the puzzles a little less challenging.
Where do we start when we join?
You’ll begin with whichever Wild Explorers edition is currently available. Each edition is its own complete mystery, so there’s no need to have completed previous adventures first.
Can we purchase past editions?
Not at this stage. Once an edition retires, it will no longer be available to purchase.
What comes in each Wild Explorers package?
Each edition includes an illustrated Adventure Map, four Mission Envelopes filled with puzzles and clues, four collectible Creature Archive Cards, Explorer Markers, and a Letter to the Adult Explorer with learning outcomes and ideas for extending the adventure.
You’ll also receive an Explorer Findings Envelope containing the answers, a bonus sticker, and a little clue about what adventure might be coming next.
How does the mystery work?
Your explorer will open their pack to discover their Adventure Map and the month’s missing creature.
Starting with Mission 1, they’ll open each Mission Envelope and complete a puzzle, writing down their answer. That answer gives them a clue to take back to the Adventure Map, where they’ll navigate the map and begin eliminating possible locations.
They’ll work through all four missions, using each new clue to narrow down the possibilities until they can reveal the missing creature’s final location.
Each Mission Envelope also contains a mini Creature Archive Card envelope, with four collectible Creature Archive Cards to discover each month.
How long does a Wild Explorers adventure take?
Every explorer is different! Feedback so far has been that many explorers have completed all four missions in around 60–90 minutes — often because they’re eager to solve the mystery and collect all four Creature Archive Cards.
The adventure doesn’t need to be completed in one sitting. The four missions can easily be spread across different sessions, and completion time will vary depending on your explorer’s age, literacy level and how they choose to work through the puzzles.
The Letter to the Adult Explorer also includes extension ideas and additional learning opportunities for families who would like to spend even more time exploring the adventure.
How much adult help is needed?
Wild Explorers is designed for children to take the lead. Feedback so far has been that explorers may need a gentle steer to get started and some support with reading, depending on their individual literacy level.
Once they understand what they’re looking for, many are eager to keep working through the missions and uncover the mystery themselves.
You don’t need to have all the answers — just walk beside them, offer support when needed and enjoy the adventure together.
Do we need anything else to complete the adventure?
Just a pencil and a pair of scissors! Everything else your explorer needs to solve the mystery is included in their Wild Explorers pack.
Can siblings share one Wild Explorers pack?
Absolutely! Siblings can work together to solve the same mystery. Additional Creature Archive Card packs will also be available to purchase separately, so each explorer can build their own collection.
Where do you ship?
Wild Explorers currently ships Australia-wide, with FREE standard shipping.
When will my adventure be shipped?
We dispatch twice each month — on the 15th and the last day of the month. Orders close at 5pm the day before dispatch. Orders placed after the cutoff will be included in the next dispatch.
Will I receive tracking?
Wild Explorers adventures are sent as an Australia Post Large Letter, so tracking is not included. Standard shipping is FREE Australia-wide.
How do the 3-Month and 6-Month Explorer Passes work?
Explorer Passes are paid once upfront and do not automatically renew. Your first adventure will be sent on the next available dispatch date, with your remaining adventures sent monthly on the same dispatch cycle.
Is Wild Explorers AI generated?
AI has been used as one of the tools involved in the design and illustration process behind Wild Explorers. The stories, mysteries, puzzles and overall creative direction are developed by me.
As a small independent business just starting out, hiring an illustrator for every element isn’t currently feasible, but every adventure is carefully created, reviewed and brought together by a real person.
